Is it all over yet...no...? Oh right, New Years.

Hello all double Unofficial Akibarangers new and old! Today is a strange tale, because it involves the craziness of what's going on in the club and video game-based madness.

It more or less started about a week ago, when my delusions were more based in Hyrule then any of my other fandoms due to the release of 2 Legend of Zelda games and the release of the trailer for the newest one coming out next year. To say my training to keep my daydreams and fantasies helped keep all of Akibahara from becoming Hyrule (oddly enough, the Twilight Princess version) is an understatement.

However...

As the days got closer to Christmas Eve and Day, there was a huge spark of video game talk ranging from nostalgia to wanting a new title. This was our downfall, for when we decided to gather together after Christmas Day obligations were done with, we ended up old school video game sprites. CURSE YOU MALSHINA AND HOWEVER YOU'RE GETTING THIS INFO! At least we were still in our suits, but that still didn't make up for being 2D and only being able to speak in large text bubbles. Our first level of difficulty was trying to get over a few levels of a Mario-like scene where everyone had to jump over barrels and save "the princess," who in this case was AkibaViolet-nii-chan. To say he was miffed about his position is the greatest understatement in the remaining year.

"We never speak of this EVER again!"

"Yes sir." We'll still be talking about it though, despite this.

Once we were done being Mario sprites, we were then thrown into the world of Kirby the Star Warrior. We were also all Kirbies in our suit colors, with me still retaining my cat traits. It took a bit to revive AkibaFire-ototo from that. Once we managed to get power-ups and keep them, WE TOTALLY ROCKED IT! I think I scared everyone with my creepy giggle when I got the sword power ups. After we fought against some unholy hybrid of King Dedede and the season 2 minions, we were returned into our human bodies...

And ended up in Street Fighters.

"Who actually knows this franchise?" Vio-nii-chan asked as he examined his ninja-like outfit.

"I'm killing anyone who looks at me." I hate outfits made purposefully for the sake of fan service. On the plus side, I pack a pretty good punch. And kick. And half nelson. We quickly hurried along before I KO'ed anyone else who looked at me funny.

Thankfully we at least had a few members who knew the game, and as it turns out AkibaChaos had followed us into the game. She was the final boss on this level, but she said she'd be back after the dramatic post-fight cut scene.

The next place was a bit confusing to figure out, but after I screamed "Fus Roh Dah" at a tree and made it fall over with a lock CRACK to the trunk and a WHUMP to the ground, we figured out we were in Skyrim. I was a Khajiit (basically an anthro kitty), and we had a VERY varied mix of group members of Elves, Humans, Argonians (anthro lizards), and a few other races I couldn't recognize. This took a while due to distribution of side quests, doing the main quest, and not dying along the way due to whatever.

And finally, we arrived in Hyrule! It was awkward though, as now I was a Hylian and some people ended up turning into Gorons, Zoras or Fairies. Anyone who ended up a Fairy wasn't happy about this. Then I found a collar around my neck.

"Nani?"

"So you don't attack Link." AkibaSherlock-san, I am highly capable of not getting distracted by a guy in green.

"None of y'all trust me when it comes to being in this franchise, do you?" Gee, thanks for the shaking of the heads that meant no guy, it really means a lot.

"Speaking of your boyfriend, I think he's coming down the hill."

"Hahaha, very funny onii-chan. Like I'll fall for that. And thank you for the collar help Break-ototo."

"No problem Gino-san."

"Onee-chan, he's serious." AkibaSapphire pointed to prove it.

And then I hid behind the nearest Goron, which surprised everyone - especially the Goron I was hiding behind (not sure who this was though).

"Anyone surprised that she didn't jump him, raise your hand." None of you have faith in me! Anyway, we all shadowed Link to some degree until the quest was done and the final boss battle was to happen. As it turns out AkibaChaos was taking Ganondorf's place in this, and she was cheating with her gun-based weapon in addition to the arm blade! I pretty much went Hulk on her until he recovered from the bullet wound thanks to the help of the others.

When a big, white portal with the scene of HQ opened up after AkibaChaos's defeat, we knew we were finished.

"Wait, what about the Square Enix games?" AkibaEnix-san questioned, sounding rather upset.

"Guess since you're here, there was no need." Was my guess.

"But what about Grand Theft Auto? Or the Wario games? Or Pokemon? Or what about..." And many more questionings of why some titles didn't show came up. I just figured it was because we tended to talk about these ones more since they show up more in pop culture.

"Mina, we have cookies and eggnog to eat!" And with that reminder, everyone started to file to the portal (including Chaos-san, who wasn't legit killed but did get some nasty cuts). I really, really, REALLY wanted to stay behind for a tiny bit to have an alone moment with Link, but he can't talk, which would make said alone time more then awkward. Then I was hit in the head with a mistletoe.

"Ow!"

"Just kiss him already!"

"Gee, thanks." For the record, I was being highly sarcastic. And I'm highly unprepai-Link wouldn't know that this means, so I just picked it up and ran for it, returning to my usual nekomimi-ness on entering HQ.

"Whiiiiiiiiiiimp." Nii-chan rolled his eyes, and I think at least 2 other people agreed with him on the inside.

"I wasn't prepared for it! And it's not like he'd actually knew what a mistletoe meant!" I hate the feeling I get in my face when I blush, it feels all awkward.

And then I was surprised by Link being there and AkibaFire pushing him towards me until we ended up in an accidental lip lock. Everything went black after that, I think I fainted from shock.
